Delete your data

Shootaround keeps your data on your phone. During the closed beta it also uploads each session's shot data, and the session video while the phone is on wifi, to the developer's private storage so tracking can be improved. If you created the optional account, your session statistics are also backed up to your account. Here is how to clear each place your data can exist.

1. Data on your phone

Session results, images, settings, and any recorded videos live in the app's private storage on your device. To delete everything at once, clear the app's storage (Android Settings → Apps → Shootaround → Storage → Clear storage) or uninstall the app. Either removes all session data, images, and settings, and uninstalling also stops all uploads.

To stop uploading without deleting anything, open Settings (the gear on the home screen) and turn off the diagnostics switch, the video switch, or both.

2. Copies uploaded to the developer

Uploads are not labeled with your name, email, or any account. They are labeled with a random tester code that the app generated for your install, so the code is what we need in order to find your files. You can read it on the app's Settings screen.

Send us your tester code with the request form below and we will delete everything uploaded from that install and confirm back to you, normally within 30 days. Uploaded copies are kept only for development.

If you have already uninstalled the app and cannot read your code any more, email us anyway with the rough dates you used the app and we will do our best to match it.

3. Your account (if you created one)

The optional account stores your email address and your synced session statistics (never video or images). Deleting it removes both, permanently.

In the app: Settings (the gear on the home screen) → Delete account. This takes effect immediately.

Without the app: use the request form below with the account's email address and we will delete the account and everything synced with it, normally within 30 days. Uninstalling the app by itself does not delete your account.
